12th May 2008
The Dawn Chorus have received an unprecedented
second 9/10 review for their album from John Earls at Teletext / Planet
sound:
"The Dawn Chorus/The Big Adventure
Former PS demo faves come good on a country-rock record that's wonderful
because it evokes their native Hants as much as wide-open Americana.
Everything from Goldrush and Hobotalk to Bright Eyes and Wilco flits
among the Evans brothers' movingly optimistic vocals, unafraid to be as
big and bold as they can make them.
It's about full lives and finding the intimate music arrangements to
match. Utterly gorgeous. 9/10"
The Dawn Chorus
have received an excellent single review from Channel 4 Teletext's
John Earls -
"THE DAWN CHORUS The Hope Will Kill Us 9/10 - One of our best demo
bands of ’07, their debut is like The Shins losing their minds in
the desert, discovering country and condensing the frazzled trip in three
glorious minutes."
The single has been well received so far with airplay on Original
FM , Express FM
and it's first review by The
Mag can be seen here.

Writer John Earls says 'Of all the demos we received
last year, none were better than the sweeping grandeur of The Town And
The City, made for belting out at Glasto's main stage. The other songs
on their demo were just as majestic. Someone sign them, eh?'
We did already! :)
